I can never remember which one of these is me.

Alexander Stone Dale grew up on the South Side of Chicago. In the neighborhood that’s now known as ‘Mr. Obama’s Neighborhood’. He attended the public schools that weren’t good enough for the Obama or Ayers children but were good enough for Chaka Khan.

In 1981 at the age of nineteen he moved to New York City to play punk rock and major in music at New York University. Punk rock won. He is a registered Republican who supported himself for twenty-years, two weeks driving a New York City Yellow Cab.

Mr. Dale estimates that as a result of his cab driving he has talked to over two hundred thousand total strangers sitting behind him in the dark - which is very good practice.
