‘Bush Administration Could’ve Captured Terrorist Osama Bin Laden In December 2001: Senate Report’
By Tina Moore for The New York Daily News.
Years ago I listened to John Batchelor interview a CIA agent who had been on the ground in Afghanistan watching Osama Bin Laden’s forces through binoculars prior to the Battle of Torah Bora – the battle during which Bin Laden was ultimately able to escape into Pakistan.
That agent said the problem at the time was that never before in the history of United States warfare had civilian CIA agents ever commanded military units and the only way forces could have been brought in quickly enough to capture Bin Laden would have been if that had happened right there and then.
In other words the United States was a victim of its own speed and success in getting to Bin Laden in that so-called graveyard of empires Afghanistan. It got to him before a brand new never before needed or used chain of command had been invented and implemented – and its remarkable how accurate twenty-twenty hindsight is to have figured that out now.
If the Democrats had been right and Afghanistan had turned into the quagmire they predicted there would have been more time to figure out legal systems for empowering the CIA to lead attacks – THE WAY THEY EVENTUALLY WERE ABLE TO USING PREDITOR DRONES.
John Kerry and his brood harping about it now is ironically only more proof that the Presidency of George W. Bush was not an imperial one.
And now back to President Clinton turning down Sudan’s offer to hand Bin Laden over to the United States three times during his presidency …

An interesting commentary. In a dictatorship the head jamoke can shoot the carpers; in a democracy he has to accept the carp — crap though it may be.

Yes, it is all Bill Clinton’s fault. He should have been impeached. The AWOL drunk and the Serial Draft Dodger only airlifted thousands of AQ killers out of Kunduz. That shows that they are serious about Wahabi killers.
St. Ronald of Reagan only armed/trained/funded the good Wahabi terrorists — the ones who believed in school prayer, were anti-abortion, line item vetos and pro-school vouchers. St. Ronald and the GOP never funded the evil Wahabi terrorists. That was all the fault of Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
