Scott Johnson Of Newsweek Is An Idiot
‘The Maghreb Myth: America Wants To Expand The War On Terror To Northern Africa. It Shouldn’t’
By Scott Johnson for Newsweek.
I read this article twice just to make sure that Scott Johnson actually thinks that Al Qaeda is organizing in North Africa because it wants to conquer the Sahara Desert.
Apparently Scott Johnson has never heard that Al Qaeda organizes in remote places so that it can train operatives at ‘TERRORIST TRAINING CAMPS’ so that it can strike targets IN OTHER PLACES.
And just because there is no evidence of terror training camps there now … what does a terror training camp look like? Some tents.
Mr. Johnson also doesn’t bother to mention (or considering that he writes for Newsweek he might not even know) that Mali, Mauritania, Algeria, and Niger seem to take the threat a little more seriously than he does.
In a military deal that would be unusual anywhere, let alone in Africa, these four nations quickly signed a military pursuit agreement last year that allows each other’s militaries to pursue Al Qaeda across each other’s borders.
In Mali rebel Tuaregs voluntarily gave up their decades long fight against the Malian government and offered to fight Al Qaeda instead.
But Scott knows best.

Newsweek is an idiot. Why should Scott Johnson be different.

Let’s say the military might of the Sahel corners a bunch of Al Qaeda #2s. Now, we know the record of the AWOL drunk and the serial draft dodger:
1)Immediately airlift the key players out of harms way and waterboard a few small fry so Man Coulter and Liz Cheney get a hard on.
2) Pay Pakistan’s ISI a few billion dollars more and beg them not to have theit terrorists attck the USA
3) Have Dick Cheney cower in a bunker until the coast is clear
4) Plead with Barney Frank to stop forcing Lehman to making loans to Negros
Now, we have no idea what the uppity Kenyan occupying the White House will do.

#2: Wanderer. Durbin needs a sound thinker like you, why don’t you run for the senate? There’s an opening, you know.

I was gonna mention Newsweek’s stupidity in the headline but its redundant and every once and a while I like my headlines to be kinda short.

In the spirit of being a class act I also didn’t end with the flourish of ‘Scott should stick to what he knows best – wiping asses clean.’
