The line used to go “patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel,” until all the scoundrels abandoned patriotism. They then turned to accusations of racism instead.
When Democrat Congressman Barney Frank tries to deflect attention away from his complicity in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac collapse – including his affair with a Fannie executive - he cries ‘racism.’
When Obama supporters try to deflect attention away from the Senator’s terrorist and vote fraud connections they cry ‘racism.’
Yawn.
Are Barack Obama’s vote tallies going to be less than the polls would suggest? Yes. But a Republican has no problem telling a pollster that they’re not voting for the Senator - Because he’s a Democrat. It is within Democrat circles that there will be a discrepancy between the polls and the polls.
But look on the bright side. They no longer want to admit they’re racist.

Racism = discrimination = preference. I like apple pie over cake. My father preferred canned spinach to fresh spinach. Racism is an extreme form of preference and personal decision making. Everyone to some extent has it. Probably 90% of the black population will vote for Obama — I’m sure because he’s the best candidate. X% of “liberal” fuzzies will vote for Obama because it’s so politically correct to do so. Chicago’s political power is basically Roman Catholic; for a long period Roman Catholics in Chicago were basically Democrats. Chicago has not has a Republican mayor since 1930; since 1930 only two mayors (both black) did not go to parochial schools. Was this racism (is racism limited to race; or can it include sex and culture)? Voting race may be just as acceptable as voting religion or economic policies.
